On February 7th, our buddies, Poor Man’s Whiskey will be headlining The Fillmore and WE will be opening the show. We’re excited. It seems that every time we run into PMW it happens to be somewhere spectacular. We met PMW in 2013 at The Redwood Mountain Faire at Roaring Camp in Felton. Since then we’ve run into them in Bend, Oregon on the Summer Solstice at the 4 Peaks Music Festival, and again on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska at Salmonstock. And although those festivals put us in some of the most special places we’ve ever been, for us, The Fillmore tops just about anything.

On Saturday February 7th we will be returning to The Fillmore for our second time when we open for Poor Man’s Whiskey! In addition to PMW’s set of originals, they will be covering Paul Simon’s Graceland album, which we’ve heard is like a pretty alright album. Oh, and Hot Buttered Rum will be joining PMW for their two sets. The point is we want you to be there with us. Show and ticket information is below.

Happy New Year folks! Once again we want to thank you all for your support in 2014. It was a year we will never forget. We had a great time in Monterey on New Year’s Eve but we are excited and ready for our two night run at Don Quixote’s International Music Hall in Felton.

On January 9th and 10th we will be headlining Don Quixote’s. We are very excited as this is our hometown venue and the venue in which we played some of our first shows as well as some of the biggest shows. We have played with The Brothers Comatose, The Easy Leaves, Pegi Young, Scary Little Friends, Carolyn Sills, Amee Chapman, We Became Owls among others.  We are also excited because we are lucky enough to have two great bands opening each show.

On January 9th local artist, Taylor Rae, will drive her band up from Los Angeles to open the show. Rae is a young songwriter with a powerful voice that is backed by her 9 piece band. Rae and her band will be making their debut at Don Quixote’s. They will open the show on January 9th at 8pm. http://taylorraemusic.com/ https://www.facebook.com/TaylorRaeMusic1/info?tab=page_info

On January 10th our good friends, The McCoy Tyler Band will join us. This will be the third year in a row that we have teamed up with McCoy at Don Quixote’s in the winter. The McCoy Tyler Band is one of our favorite bands anywhere and we always enjoy sharing the stage with them. In addition to that McCoy is one of our favorite songwriters and guitar players and we often drag him on stage with us for a few songs following his band’s set. http://mccoytylerband.wix.com/other-final https://www.facebook.com/mccoytylermusic

Both shows start at 8pm and are just a measly $10. We will be giving away free posters each night so get there early and grab one before they’re gone. We can’t wait to kick off the year at Don Quixote’s and we hope to see you there!

It’s hard to fathom that 2014 is coming to an end, but it is, and before we step into 2015 we want to take a look back at 2014. In 2014 we released our second full length album, Wrong Side of The Road, we traveled more miles than ever before, and we played in front of the biggest audiences we’ve ever played. So here’s a quick look back at the year we had.

In 2014 we played in California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, and Alaska. We played shows in theaters, amphitheaters, faire’s, festivals, parks, restaurants, breweries, wineries, cafes, bars, pubs, taverns, night clubs, country clubs, radio stations, a gym, a house, and a parking lot. We played in the AM, the PM, on FM and on AM. We played birthday party’s, anniversary party’s, and weddings. We played benefits for fire fighters, a children’s museum, and dogs. We played Salmonstock, Oyster Grass, the White Eagle, the Fox & Goose, the Crazy Horse, and the Frog & Peach. We played for a bunch of hippies, with Trigger Hippy, and dressed as hippies. We played shows and festivals with The Dirty Knobs, The Mother Hips, some Hard Working Americans, as well as our Scary Little Friends. We played with Jackie Greene, Red Wanting Blue, and Soft White Sixties. With Hot Buttered Rum and Poor Man’s Whiskey, The Brothers Comatose, Brother Grimm My Stupid Brother, and even pretended to be The Everly Brothers. We Became Owls, and we had an Elephant Revival with The Revivalists. We did that thing we do with Mike Viola, and practiced our scissor kicks with Lukas Nelson. We sang on stage with Mike Campbell and we sang from the crowd with Tom Petty. We got a little help from our friends like Ryan Avellone, Chris Jones, Bridget Law, Jim Lewin, McCoy Tyler, and Andy Zenczak. We got to shows by car, plane, foot, ferry, and even drove Lucinda Williams’ band around Alaska. We played The Catalyst, The El Rey Theater, The Fillmore as well as a high school gym (Presentation High rocks by the way.) We played in radio stations and got played on radio stations. We slept in hotel rooms, motel rooms, cabins, tents, our friend’s living rooms, couches, floors, our van, and something called the “pink sparkle room.” We played shows in front of zero people, 1,000 people, and everything in between. We met so many great people, played with so many great bands, and had fun every second along the way.

Thanks for the overwhelming support we received this year. We hope you had as much fun as we had in 2014 and that you’ll join us in 2015. We are extremely excited to start 2015 with a two night run at Don Quixote’s in Felton on January 9th and 10th. Joining us will be Taylor Rae, and The McCoy Tyler Band for the 9th and 10th respectively.
