2016 is here but before we know it, we’ll be talking about 2017. So as quickly as we can, we’ll remember 2015 one more time.
Time flies when you’re having fun and 2015 went by way too fast so that must mean we had some fun. We played to a sold out crowd at the Fillmore in San Francisco, we headlined Slim’s for the first time, we sweated through our set in the 105 degree heat at the Kate Wolf Music Festival, we lit a speaker on fire on stage at the Petaluma Music Festival, we learned and played 30 Everly Brothers songs, we replaced the alternator in our van, and then did it again, and again…, there was that time we celebrated a birthday at Moe’s Alley, and finally when it all came to an end by leading the countdown to the new year with a bundled up crowd on the streets of Monterey. We had a lot of fun. But enough with 2015, let’s talk 2016.
2016 will begin right back where this whole journey started; at Don Quixote’s in Felton. Don Quixote’s has been the site of some of our biggest and most memorable local shows. It’s been the venue where we’ve tried out new songs for the first time and where we’ve released our 3 albums. We couldn’t be more excited to be kicking off 2016 with a weekend at Don Quixote’s. But here’s the twist. And there is a twist… We have two stellar bands opening the shows each night. On Friday, January 8th, T Sisters from Oakland will be opening and on Saturday, January 9th, The McCoy Tyler Band from Santa Cruz will be opening.
So it’s settled. You’re coming to Don Quixote’s on January 8th and 9th. Dig in your pockets for a $10 bill and we’ll see you on January 8th, 2016 in Felton.
Friday January 8th- 8pm $10 T Sisters open
Saturday January 9th- 8pm $10 McCoy Tyler Band open
